The Community Foundation provides endowment investment expertise through professional investment consultants and money managers engaged by the Foundation to help us attain our goal of achieving superior long-term investment performance. The Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of the Foundation provide additional oversight, monitoring and evaluation.
Thomas County Federal
Matt is the Tallahassee Market President for Thomas County Federal, an 89 year old financial institution serving Thomasville and Tallahassee. He has served as President of several Florida financial institutions over his career. Matt earned a Masters in Public Administration from Florida State University. He has been involved in many areas of our community serving as Chairman of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and previously serving on the Board of Economic Development Council, Florida Bankers Association, Tallahassee Community College Foundation, Kairos Prison Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Riley House, Steele Collins Academy, Big Bend Hospice and Leadership Tallahasse.
Capital City Trust Company
Seth is a Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Officer of Capital City Trust Co., a subsidiary of Capital City Bank Group. He leads a portfolio management division responsible for the oversight of $700 million of client assets. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Seth has called Tallahassee home for more than twenty years. An entrepreneur while in college, Seth has spent his entire career with Capital City Trust Co. since completing undergraduate studies at Florida A&M’s School of Business & Industry. Along with his mentoring activities, Seth also serves on the boards of the Miccosukee Youth Education Foundation and Fathers, Brothers, and Sons Inc.
Municipal Code Corporation
Eric is President of Municipal Code Corporation. Eric joined the Municode team in 2007 as Vice President of the Corporation's Supplement Department after graduating from the University of Virginia's School of Law. Prior to receiving his Juris Doctorate, Eric served as a Tank Platoon Commander in the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine, Eric served stateside and abroad with his unit deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom shortly after September 11, 2001. As prepartion for his career as a Marine, Eric attended both the United States Naval Adademy and Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. While at the Naval Academy, Eric served as the Brigade Commander, responsible for the development, training and welfare of over 4,000 of America's finest young men and women. While serving as a Marine, Eric served in Virginia, Kentucky, California and abroad as a member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Eric serves on a number of boards including John Paul II Catholic HIgh School and the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend.
Rehab Technologies & Southern Fidelity Mortgage Group
Rip has been a partner in Rehab Technologies, LLC, a medical equipment sales and leasing business, since 1997. Since 2005, he has also been a partner in Southern Fidelity Mortgage Group of Huntsville, LLC, a mortgage brokerage company. He received a Bachelors Degree from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Kirby serves on the boards of Prime Meridian Bank and a number of private companies and non-profit organizations including Maclay School and Tall Timbers Research, Inc.
Desloge Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment
Michael is currently the COO/CFO of Desloge Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment. Desloge is a regional medical equipment provider that Michael acquired with partners in 2005 that has seen sales double and profits quadruple in 6 years. Prior to Desloge, Michael was the COO/ CFO for Walls Industries of Texas. Walls is a $100 million manufacturer/marketer of branded outdoor apparel. Michael led the recapitalization in 2001, the transition to global sourcing in 2002 and the ultimate sale of The Company in 2004 to Brazos Equity Partners, a Dallas based investment firm. From 1996 to 1999 Michael was the CFO of Super-Lube, Inc. Michael was part of the management team that grew the business from 35 to 75 units and Michael led the ultimate sale of the company for an industry high EBITDA multiple. Michael spent 4 years with Arthur Andersen (1992-1996) in Dallas working as a Manager in the business consulting services group and helped that division grow from a staff of 10 to 180 during his tenure while working with manufacturing, retail and distribution clients in the Southwest United States.
Michael is a managing partner of K3 investments, which is a private investment fund that has holdings in commercial real estate, investment banking, express car washes, restaurants and a home nursing company. In addition, Michael currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Red Elephant Pizza and as a director for several regional companies including Infinity Software, Titus Sports Academy, and Life-Time Solutions.
In 2010, Michael was appointed by the Leon County Commission to serve on the Investment Oversight Committee for the County which oversees the portfolio investments and practices of Leon County, FL. Michael has also given several talks to companies and private groups on business valuation and transaction planning, professional responsibility and incentive systems.
Michael has an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin as well as Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
Debie is a shareholder in the Tax Services Department of Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. with over 30 years of experience in public accounting. A graduate of FSU, Debie earned a degree in Accounting, as well as Nutrition. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Debie has earned the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Certificate of Achievement for Personal Financial Specialist, which is a unique credential making Debie more than a financial planner - she is a CPA with the powerful combination of extensive tax expertise and comprehensive knowledge of financial planning. Her main practice area includes servicing individuals, high net worth clients including estate and charitable planning, and not-for-profit entities. Debie is a member of the Tallahassee Regional Estate Planning Council. She also serves or has served on the FSU Foundation Planned Giving Council, the United Way of the Big Bend, the American Lung Association of the Big Bend Region, and the Mary Brogan Museum of Arts & Sciences, in addition to being a very active member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Debie is also a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee, Class XIII and a former president of Leadership Tallahassee. In 2013, Debie was selected by the Tallahassee Democrat as one of the “25 Women You Need to Know” and officially joined Club 25, where she currently serves as a Board Member and Treasurer.

Rogers Gunter Vaughan
A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Sam Rogers, Jr. graduated from Florida State University in 1982 with a degree in Accounting. He began his insurance career with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Insurance Company in 1982 as a Surety Bond Underwriter in New Orleans, LA. He returned to Tallahassee to work with Rogers-Atkins Insurance in 1986 in sales. In 1994 he was named Chief Financial Officer and became a partner and shareholder in 1998. In February of 2008 Sam was named the Chief Executive Officer of Rogers, Gunter, Vaughn Insurance, Inc. Sam earned the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, (CPCU) and also holds our firms license as a Surplus Lines Agent.
Rogers’ community service has included serving on the board of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and the Tallahassee/Leon County Economic Development Council. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Past Treasurer of the United Way of the Big Bend, a board member of Seminole Boosters and Emeritus Board Member of Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation which sponsors the Biletnikoff Award. He is past Chairman of the City of Tallahassee Risk Management Advisory Board and Leon County Schools Foundation. He is a graduate of Class IV of Leadership Tallahassee. Rogers served as Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents of Tallahassee in 1992. He has served as Chairman of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) and also served on the (FAIA) Automation Committee, Insurance Programs Committee, and as Chairman of FAIA Member Services, Inc. and the FAIA Finance Committee.

Ash Williams is the Executive Director & CIO of the Florida State Board of Administration (SBA), one of the nation’s leading public investment institutions. The SBA manages assets under broad investment authority granted by the Board’s Trustees. Prior to joining the SBA, Ash was Managing Director at Fir Tree Partners and previously President and CEO of Schroder Capital Management, both headquartered in New York City. Mr. Williams holds both BS and MBA degrees from Florida State University and completed post graduate programs at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Ash serves as trustee of the Florida State University Foundation, advisory board member of the Robert Toigo Foundation, leadership council member of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, board member of the Economic Club of Florida, and is an Episcopal lay minister.
