Jana McConnaughhay is Board Certified in Elder Law by the Florida Bar. She is a Tallahassee native, who received a B.A. in Accounting, with honors, from Furman University and her J.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Law, where she won the K. Harlan Dodson Moot Court Award for outstanding service to the Moot Court program. Ms. McConnaughhay is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar.  She is on the Capital City Bank Community Board and serves as Chair of the Elder Law Section’s Certification Committee. Ms. McConnaughhay’s previous professional and community service includes the Boards of Directors of the Big Bend Office of the Public Guardian (Chair), Gilchrist School Advisory Committee (Chair), Elder Law Section (Substantive Chair, Administrative Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Chair), Tallahassee Bar Association (Secretary), School of Arts and Sciences (Finance Chair), and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. She also served on the Grievance Committee for the Second Judicial Circuit (Chair), as a volunteer with the United Way’s Reading Pal program, and was a member of Leadership Tallahassee’s Class 16.
