Karen Duncan is a dedicated professional with a strong background in community engagement and development. Before joining the Community Foundation of North Florida, she served as a Senior Program Officer at the International Rescue Committee, where she facilitated partnerships with national and regional organizations and supported local offices across the country in their outreach efforts. Her expertise spans nonprofit program development, stakeholder collaboration, and resource management. Her experience also includes her tenure at the Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she managed operations and engaged volunteers. Additionally, Karen has a background in data analysis and project management, having worked as a consultant in financial data quality assurance earlier in her career after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Weber State University.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Karen is deeply committed to her family and her involvement in the Tallahassee community. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with local non-profits, exploring state and national parks, and experiencing all that the Big Bend has to offer. Her passion for service and advocacy continues to shape her work and personal life.
