Animal Shelter Foundation was created by volunteers to support the animals in the care of Tallahassee Animal Services, more commonly known as the Animal Shelter at Tom Brown Park. The Shelter is an open admission facility which means that every animal is accepted and no animal is turned away.

Funds would be used to re-establish the same level of excellence in classroom instruction once is resumed on campus. Big Bend Hospice provides quality programs such as Music Therapy, Community Bereavement and Charity Care to patients and families that are unfunded to positively impact the way our community experiences serious illness or grief one family at a time.

As a result of COVID-19, Big Bend Hospice has canceled their largest annual fundraiser resulting in a 25% impact to their annual budget. Funds would be used to continue to support programs, operations, the current need of a generator to supply electricity to the entire Hospice House, and Charity Care for those who do not have the ability to pay.

Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country to develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Loss of revenue will impact Big Brothers Big Sisters' ability to provide services to children enrolled in their programs. Additionally, many children do not have the needed technology for the online learning environment currently being administered. Funds would be used to help sustain daily operations and purchase laptops for BBBS children.

Bond provides a patient-centered approach to quality primary and preventive healthcare services for residents of Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Taylor, Franklin, Liberty and Madison counties.

Patient visits and revenue has declined by 50%, unrestricted funds are needed to support staff working overtime to man testing sites and maintain an infection-free work environment, PPE and print costs for patient education, and upgrades and repairs to the mobile health unit (stairs, ramps, refrigerators).

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend of the Big Bend works to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Funding is needed to purchase laptop computers to loan to those students during the summer who do not have access to a computer, the support the hiring teachers who can work online and hourly to provide tutoring services to students in addition to general materials & supplies.

For more than 35 years Boys Town North Florida has provided hope and healing to at-risk youth and families; improving the lives for those suffering from abuse, addiction, abandonment or violence, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Brehon is currently in need of funds to purchase diapers, baby wipes and other infant supplies for program participants and to keep the maternity home operational.

Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum was established to honor and preserve the heritage of the men and women who trained at the camp during WWII. Camp Gordon Johnston opened in 1942 for the sole purpose of training Infantry Divisions and their support units in amphibious operations by U. S. Army Engineer Special Brigades.

With the museum being temporarily closed, financial support is needed to help meet operational needs. Funds would be used to pay utilities, security system bill, and a portion of the wages for two part-time employees to assist them during this pandemic.

Collections at Goodwood Museum & Gardens supports the care, restoration, conservation, protection and preservation of the furnishings of the historic buildings of Goodwood Museum and to acquire items documented to have once been a part of these furnishings so that they may be displayed, in the best condition possible, for the enjoyment and education of the public.

Revenue has been lost as a result of having to cancel a number of events spanning a two-month period. Funds would be used to help pay contracted labor which includes grounds maintenance for 21-acres and bookkeeping.

Legal Services of North Florida provides case representation and advice to low-income persons in civil matters only. LSNF serves only the low-income and those with certain vulnerable circumstances including the elderly and never charges a fee to service clients.

LeMoyne Art Foundation works to promote and advance education, interest and participation in the contemporary visual arts.

Leon County Humane Society is dedicated to matching families with homeless pets, advocating for animals in need, and educating the community about responsible pet ownership.

Literacy Volunteers of Leon County trains and supports volunteers who work one-on-one with adults and families, helping them to learn how to read and write, do math, or speak English with no fee for services.

Funds will be used to provide crisis counseling to identify clients′ most pressing financial issues and provide assistance with creating household budgets, reviewing credit reports, and clarifying short-and long-term financial goals.

Museum of Florida History collects, preserves, exhibits, and interprets evidence of past and present cultures in Florida, and promotes knowledge and appreciation of this heritage. As the State's History Museum, it focuses on artifacts and eras unique to Florida's development and on roles that Floridians have played in national and global events.

Elder Care Services' mission to improve quality of life for seniors and their caregivers in the Big Bend by providing comprehensive services and care for a broad spectrum of seniors from staying engaged in the community through volunteering placement to promoting independence and safety for seniors aging in place.

As a result of COVID-19, Elder Care has had to expand home-delivered meals and call programs to include those sheltering-in-place to ensure they receive the needed meals and social interaction with their team. Funds would be used to support the increased demands for these programs.

The Office of Public Guardian, Inc. serves adults with mental and/or physical disabilities as their court-appointed legal guardian when they are incapable of managing some or all of their affairs.

Pace Center provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy.

Pace works with a very vulnerable population who rely on the support system provided by the school. As they have moved to an online learning environment, only 25% of the girls have computers/internet and only 50% have smart phones. While those without the needed technology have been given study packets, they are disconnected from the PACE support system. Funds would be used to purchase laptops and phones to help ensure the girls stay on track academically and connected to their PACE support system.

Panhandle Pioneer Settlement brings together the material history of life in Calhoun County and the Florida Panhandle between the 1820s and the 1940s. Today, the Settlement has 18 buildings of historical significance, as well as exhibits and collections.

Panhandle Pioneer Settlement relies on events to help meet operational need, which have now been canceled. Funds would be used to help with these daily operational expenses.

Pregnancy Help & Information Center offers free services to moms and dads who are interested in learning more about their parenting options, learning more about being parents, and earning essentials for their small children.

Refuge House provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to their children and families, as well as to eliminate such violence through community education and public advocacy.

Refuge House is in need of cleaning supplies, 3-months of food for residential sites and clients, purchasing of text messaging services for victims contacting the hotline, computers and licenses for 13 staff members working remotely. Funding for personal protection equipment (PPE) and bio-medical cleaning services as needed for contaminated sites.

America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend partners with agencies across 11 counties in the Big Bend to distribute healthy and nutritious food each month and educates and engages the community in the fight against hunger.

Second Harvest needs reflect the enormity of the pandemic crisis. Over 29 million meals are missing from Big Bend dinner tables. After subtracting charitable support, there is a gap of 15 million meals. Funds would be used to support our charitable feeding program.

St. Marks Refuge assists with the mission of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats. This includes protecting, conserving and interpreting many important national cultural resources.

Stubbs′ Educational Foundation empowers students to dream bigger by excelling in the arts, achieving their academic and social goals by providing the gift of music for individuals that otherwise would not have this opportunity.

A loss of revenue from the cancellation of the annual fundraiser has impacted the number of music scholarships that SEF will award for the 2020-21 academic year. Funding is needed to supplement this revenue loss to provide scholarships.

Tallahassee Christian College & Training Center provides a biblically-inspired learning experience in a supportive environment where our students can grow in their faith and purpose.

TCCTC has had to take immediate action to move all classes online, resulting in a large financial impact on their budget. Funds would be used to help update technology and internet services, train faculty and students to use the new technology, for purchase of laptops for our media center and to loan to students without access to a computer.

Tallahassee Fuller Center for Housing assists in repairs and rehabilitation of owner-occupied homes for families who, due to economic circumstances, cannot afford otherwise.

Tallahassee Museum has served as an iconic Tallahassee landmark for more than 60 years. the Museum′s living exhibits of native Florida wildlife, nature trails and native gardens are renowned by visitors of all ages.

Funds would be used to help the museum stay engaged in the community through the development of educational programming utilizing digital and online platforms.

Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation supports the programs, services and participants of Tallahassee Senior Services, a division of the City of Tallahassee Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs.

Funding is needed to set-up a Virtual Senior Center for the next 4-6 months, to support Zoom online platforms for offering Art, Fitness, Health, Lifelong Learning, Friends Connections, online counseling, classes, seminars, and support groups and to pay professional Instructors to teach these classes.

Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra works to engage, enrich, and inspire people at all stages of life through great music.

Due to having to cancel all performances the loss of ticket revenue funding is need to retain as many staff as possible, including our current conductor.

Tallahassee Youth Orchestras is staffed by music majors from FSU's distinguished College of Music, each of whom exhibit a deep commitment to music pedagogy. Guided by a dedicated team, the program seeks to build on the legacy of all who have helped shape this vitally important community program.

Families with children enrolled in programs have been impacted by this pandemic. Funds would be used to augment our need-based scholarship program.

Theatre Tallahassee works to promote a community understanding of the literary and dramatic arts.

Theatre Tallahassee's primary source of revenue is ticket sales. With live events canceled, funds would be used to help us pay essential bills like utilities, phone, payroll and liability insurance.

Magnolia School provides hands-on, developmentally appropriate curriculum for students with alternative assessments to monitor academic and social-emotional growth and to determine students' strengths and weaknesses.

Due to having to convert entirely to online learning funding is needed for additional technology for both teachers and students.

The Tallahassee Ballet features a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary ballet performed by both professional and emerging professional dancers. The Tallahassee Ballet promotes appreciation of the dance arts through annual productions, education, and community outreach.

TBB operations have come to a complete halt and is in need of funding
to sustain operations and program services through the end of 2020 with income to be severely impacted due to limiting capacity in classrooms and uncertainty of venue availability. Grant funding is needed to pay our dancers, teachers, staff and overhead. These funds will enable us to keep our doors open and safely serve as many patrons and students possible.

Tree House is a 24 -hour emergency shelter for the abused and neglected children of our area with a goal to provide a home-like environment for the children. Tree House works to keep sibling groups together whenever possible to minimize further disruption for them as well as provides counseling in order to give these children a chance for a "normal" life.

Turn About provides services for children, adolescents, and college undergraduate young adults who are at-risk for or have mental health, substance and/or behavioral problems and/or who have been victims of family or non-family violence.

Grant funding needed for technology for teleconferencing expenses to provide counseling by phone, licensing needed for six Master level Counselors and phone cards for families in need of expanded data to accommodate counseling for one hour weekly.

United Way of the Big Bend raises awareness, mobilizes resources and finds collaborative, targeted solutions for our community′s most vital concerns in order to support the success of families, individuals, and a thriving community.

People in our community who are living in poverty or struggling to make ends meet have been greatly impacted by COVID-19. This population is where UWBB has focused its funding. Financial support would be used to help meet the increased demands for the programs funded through our program partners.

Wakulla Academic Boosters stewards 42 different scholarships that were established by individuals and local businesses and awarded to graduating senior of Wakulla High School in Florida.

The implications of COVID-19 restricted Wakulla Academic Booster's fundraising efforts this year, which are primarily face to face presentations at community meetings. Due to not having these donations there is a loss of funding for scholarship assistance for the senior class of 2021.

Wakulla Senior Citizens Council, Inc. provides services to enable seniors to age in a friendly and secure environment to prevent premature admission to nursing homes or other institutions.
