Beth Corum currently serves as Chief Operating Officer Capital City Bank, a $4 billion dollar financial institution headquartered in Tallahassee, FL {NASDAQ:CCBG}. As a member of Capital City Bank’s executive management team, her primary responsibilities include oversight of retail market management; IT, loan and deposit operations, facilities management, information security & disaster recovery, and human resources|talent development.
Under Beth’s leadership, Capital City Bank has been recognized as a Best Place to Work by Florida Trend magazine annually since 2012; a Best Place to Work by Georgia Trend magazine; and a Best Bank to Work for by the American Banker annually since 2013. Capital City Bank has been recognized for its client-focused and compassionate associate response to Hurricanes Irma & Michael, powerful hurricanes impacting more than 90% of Capital City Bank’s franchise; as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beth is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin and received her Master’s degree from the Florida State University. She also holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation.
She currently serves as past chairman of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce; a member of the United Way of the Big Bend’s board; chair-elect and board member of the Children’s Home Society of North Florida and trustee for the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation. Beth is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee and Leadership Florida and has served in volunteer leadership roles with the Tallahassee Ballet, Junior League of Tallahassee, Alumnae Panhellenic of Tallahassee, and the Florida House in Washington, D.C.
She was honored with the Julian V. Smith Community Service Award from Capital City Bank Group and was selected as Tallahassee’s 2019 Woman of the Year by Tallahassee Woman magazine. She was also recognized with a Pinnacle Award from 850 Business Magazine.
