A Legacy gift, also known as a planned gift, offers you a way to commit a future gift to the Community Foundation of North Florida during your lifetime. These gift types are designed to help you meet your personal, philanthropic, financial and estate planning goals upon your death. We encourage you to have a conversation with your professional advisor to select the best option for meeting your personal goals. Individuals who have named the Community Foundation as the beneficiary of a legacy gift are recognized in the Legacy Society.

How it Works

  • Name the Community Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate, will, insurance policy, retirement accounts or other assets.
  • Document your Legacy gift commitment. Donors may leave their Legacy gift to an existing Endowed Fund, create a new Endowed Fund or simply bestow a gift to support causes they care most about.
  • Receive recognition in the Community Foundation’s Legacy Society.
