Sheryl is a University of West Florida alumna, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Administration. She began a paralegal journey in Pensacola, Florida. She later relocated to Tallahassee in 1995, where she continued her career in the legal field.
In the year 2000, Sheryl made a conscious decision to embark on the journey of parenthood and simultaneously became actively involved in community volunteerism. While nurturing her family, she also contributed her time and expertise to various community initiatives. During this period, she opted for part-time employment, balancing professional responsibilities with her commitment to supporting her children through their high school education, which has now culminated in their enrollment in a college.
Sheryl has dedicated her volunteer efforts to diverse organizations, including Holy Comforter Episcopal School, Maclay School, a local church, Gulf Winds Track Club, and the American Cancer Society.
