The Community Foundation of North Florida will receive a $300,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to bolster its Hurricane Idalia Disaster Relief efforts in Madison County, with additional support extended to Taylor County.

This grant reflects a commitment to helping communities affected by the devastating hurricane and underscores the importance of collective action in times of crisis.

The funds will be instrumental in addressing the long-term recovery needs of those affected by Hurricane Idalia, a destructive Category 3 hurricane, when it made landfall on August 30.

The Community Foundation will continue to work with long-term recovery groups in both Madison and Taylor Counties, to provide sustained disaster relief to residents in both counties.

“We are very grateful to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for their generous support during this critical time for our neighboring counties most impacted by Hurricane Idalia,” said Katrina Rolle, President & CEO of the Community Foundation in a statement. “This grant will enable us to continue to provide meaningful support to those affected by the hurricane, helping them rebuild and regain stability. ”

Since 1997, the Community Foundation of North Florida, has helped individuals, families, and organizations with their charitable giving, assisted local nonprofit organizations by providing grants and building endowments, and served as a resource for professional advisers to assist clients with charitable giving.
