Tallahassee, Florida – The Community Foundation of North Florida (CFNF) is excited to announce the 2023 recipients of its Helping Today, Shaping Tomorrow grant program. This initiative is awarding $55,000 in immediate support to non-profit organizations making a tangible difference in the areas of Education (Birth – fifth grade) and Basic Needs for the residents of Tallahassee and its surrounding communities.
“Heading into the holiday season, the Helping Today, Shaping Tomorrow grant program reflects our unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the North Florida community,” said Katrina Rolle, CFNF President & CEO. “This initiative underscores our efforts to foster a vibrant and thriving community by supporting nonprofit organizations that tirelessly work to make a difference in our community.”
Highlighting local impact, this year’s grant beneficiaries will each be awarded $5,000 to amplify their invaluable work in our community.

- Choice Impact Community Development Corporation – DBA Javacya Arts Conservatory
- Tallahassee Symphany Orchestra
- Junior League of Tallahassee
- Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend
- Lutheran Social Services of North Florida, Inc.
- Hang Tough Foundation
“The nonprofit grant recipients are doing such great work to support our community,” said Rolle. “ These grants will be leveraged to support educating our children, providing basic needs to our most vulnerable neighbors, and supporting families as they journey though childhood illnesses and special needs.”
