Mary began her public accounting career in 2006 with GBQ Partners LLC, a large CPA firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.  When Tallahassee became home to Mary and her family in 2013, she joined a local Tallahassee CPA firm, becoming a partner with the firm in 2017. In October of 2019, Mary founded and began her own CPA firm, McV Tax.  Mary has worked as an advisor with many clients, ranging from individuals, trusts and nonprofit organizations to large multinational corporations.  As a business owner in Tallahassee, Mary is proud to serve and work alongside businesses of all sizes – micro to global – and be a part of local growth and empowerment.  She provides her clients a variety of advisory services to assist with structure, planning, and complex transactions.

Mary graduated from Ohio Northern University and then received her Master’s in Accountancy from The Ohio State University.  Mary served as a small business development volunteer with the US Peace Corps in East Africa until she began her public accounting career. Mary is actively involved in the community and serves as Finance Chair for Refuge House, Inc., a local nonprofit organization serving the Big Bend region.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
