A silver anniversary milestone presents an opportunity to reflect on the past and look towards the future. This is a landmark year for the Community Foundation of North Florida as they celebrate their 25th anniversary of connecting people to charitable causes they care most about. In 1997, a group of forward-thinking community leaders established the Community Foundation to connect people, ideas and philanthropic resources to enhance the quality of life in our local community.
The success of the Community Foundation in the last 25 years is attributed to individuals with a shared vision of helping strengthen our community through the promotion and support of charitable giving. This vision has resulted in the distribution of more than $37 million in grants since the inception of the Community Foundation. With over 200 funds, which includes 75 endowments created by nonprofit organizations, every donation and act of philanthropy is an important part of the Community Foundation’s history. Donors and nonprofit organizations who establish a fund at the Community Foundation understand the importance of providing ongoing support to charitable causes for the greater good of our community.
Looking to the next 25 years – and beyond – the Community Foundation is dedicated to continued and increased charitable giving for the betterment of our community.
